And really interesting topic. Once I figured out what they were, I felt really weird about it. Especially since they were mostly on people&#039;s houses in the town I was in. Reminds me of this one Mormon I had a class with in college. He said that when he was in China on a mission, people would be like, &quot;Yeah, go ahead and give us the Jesus statue, we&#039;ll put it up next to all our other ones just so we have our bases covered.&quot;</description>

		<description>Thanks for the link! It&#039;s kind of a fascinating topic. I didnt mention this explicitly in the post, but you could say that the signs are a legacy of the US occupation since this Broman guy behind them first came to Japan in 1950 as a US soldier.</description>
