I've just returned from my vacation in Japan. Every Starbucks that we went to were sold out of the Sakura coffee mug and tumbler! Can anyone tell me how I can purchase them once they become available?

I caved and bought one of these. I both love and hate the little Starbucks display I pass every day on my way into the office...

It's a mug cup, I believe - if you go by the Japanese. And I need several. This one I bought for my mom. I don't need no stinking sakura mug.

I dig it. I've been fawning over the various cups and mugs sold here for literally years, always for some reason restraining myself from a purchase. Last year I was up in Tokyo for a few days, I can't recall what the occasion was but I needed to get my girlfriend a gift so I went for a seasonal tumbler of some kind at a Starbucks in Shinjuku. I thought it was great, got quite excited and wanted it myself (which is why I went with the giant size I think), but I just got the one and gave it to her... I think she brought it on her commute to work for about a week, just to appease me, then it went right into the back of the cupboard. I haven't seen it since. Of course it was more the fault of my inappropriate size choice than the mug itself, but now I'm back to just enjoying the mugs from afar.

By the way, your shelf space must be out of this world.
