1Q84 Vol. 3 is out! I have my copy reserved at a bookstore in Oimachi that opens at 10am, so I’ll pick it up there and then head straight to Café du Monde in Ito Yokado, which has wireless. Once you’re done with Volume 3… Could you actually post a spoiler somewhere detailing what actually happens in the book? I diligently read Volume 1 and 2 when they came out and was rather disappointed with them, mostly for the reasons you mentioned in your earlier review. So I can’t see myself spending any more days reading Volume 3 but would actually like to know what happens. I’m sure many others are in the same boat.
PS. Good luck with your busy travel schedule in Europe. I really hope the volcano chaos stops as I’m scheduled to fly there myself later next week…
