This page catalogs all my posts about Haruki Murakami’s 1990 travel memoir 遠い太鼓 (Distant Drums). The memoir covers the three years from 1986 to 1989 during which Murakami lived on the road in Greece, Italy, and other places in Europe while translating and writing. Notably, he wrote Norwegian Wood during this period and shared the process in great detail.
